The content of the course reflects the level and structure of the First Certificate exam (level B2). | All language skills will be dealt with each week in class. |
Reading: Students are expected to be able to read semi-authentic texts of various kinds (informative and general interest) and to show understanding of gist, details and text structure, and deduce meaning. | All language skills will be dealt with each week in class. |
Writing: Students are expected to be able to write non-specialised text types such as letters, articles, reports and compositions for a given purpose and target reader, covering a range of topics. | All language skills will be dealt with each week in class. |
Listening: Students are provided with short extracts and longer monologues, announcements, extracts from radio programmes, news, features, etc., at and intermediate level.
