Contenidos

Bloque	Tema
The content of the course reflects the level and structure of the First Certificate exam (level B2).	All language skills will be dealt with each week in class.
Reading: Students are expected to be able to read semi-authentic texts of various kinds (informative and general interest) and to show understanding of gist, details and text structure, and deduce meaning.	All language skills will be dealt with each week in class.
Writing: Students are expected to be able to write non-specialised text types such as letters, articles, reports and compositions for a given purpose and target reader, covering a range of topics.	All language skills will be dealt with each week in class.
Listening: Students are provided with short extracts and longer monologues, announcements, extracts from radio programmes, news, features, etc., at and intermediate level. They are expected to show understanding of detail and gist, and to deduce meaning.	All language skills will be dealt with each week in class.
Speaking: Students must be able to respond to questions and interact in conversational English. Students must also be able to carry out a presentation in class about a subject they have previously researched related to tourism.	All language skills will be dealt with each week in class.
Students will also carry out an online intercultural exchange with a partner class in another country. This will involve communicating and collaborating with the partner class on a regular basis based on tasks provided by their teachers.	All language skills will be dealt with each week in class.
Students will learn how to carry out a job interview for a job in the tourism sector in English. They will also learn how to write an application letter and CV for a job in an English speaking country.	All language skills will be dealt with each week in class.

Otros comentarios y segunda convocatoria

En la segunda convocatoria solo se repetirán las partes suspensas.

Durante el desarrollo de las pruebas no se permitirá manejar ningún material. Queda terminantemente prohibida la tenencia y el uso de dispositivos móviles y/o electrónicos durante la celebración de las pruebas. La simple tenencia de dichos dispositivos así como de apuntes, libros, carpetas o materiales diversos no autorizados durante las pruebas de evaluación, supondrá la retirada inmediata del examen, su expulsión del mismo y su calificación como suspenso, comunicándose la incidencia a la Autoridad Académica del Centro para que realice las actuaciones previstas en las Pautas de Actuación en los Supuestos de Plagio, Copia o Fraude en Exámenes o Pruebas de Evaluación, aprobadas por la Comisión Permanente del Consejo de Gobierno de 29 de enero de 2015.
